Henderson County is known for its apples! Outside the city of Hendersonville, Henderson County has quite a few communities: Etowah, Horse Shoe, Arden, Mountain Home, Edneyville, Bat Cave, Dana, Gerton, Tuxedo, Saluda, Zirconia, Hoopers Creek, the Towns of Mills River, Laurel Park, and Fletcher; and the Village of Flat Rock. Each of these unique communities offers its own challenges to appraising residential properties located within their boundaries. Downtown Hendersonville has historic buildings, interesting retail shops, and “small town” residential areas. The Village of Flat Rock, home to famous author, Carl Sandburg, has an interesting history that you can read about at www.villageofflatrock.org. You can find out more about the following communities at their web links: Mills River, incorporated in 2003 - www.millsriver.org; Laurel Park, home of Jump Off Rock - www.laurelpark.org; the City of Hendersonville – www.cityofhendersonville.org;
Despite the diverse communities found in Henderson County, AVR Appraisals is up to the challenge!
