It's a beautiful time of year to live in the Asheville area.  The fall foliage is gorgeous.  This weekend I, my husband, and some friends did a short hike near Mt. Mitchell.  We did the section of the Mountains to the Sea Trail from the Glassmine Falls overlook north towards Mt. Mitchell.  From a high point on a cluster of rocks along the trail there was a 360 degree view of distant mountains in various stages of leaf color.  After the hike we made our way to Blue Mountain Pizza in Weaverville where I had a delicious turkey panini.
